NISA Seminar
Description: “Grieving
and Healing - an Islamic Perspective” Date: February 25, 2012
Location: MCA, Maryam Hall, 3003 Scott Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95054
Featuring: Dr. Mohammad Rajabally, Board President of NISA.
The
event was this year’s first of ongoing seminars NISA hopes to host
throughout the Bay Area. During the event, Dr. Rajabally gave an overview of
the healing and grieving process. He took the audience through a step by
step progression of what individuals may experience during difficult times
and how one can best work to overcome and deal with the circumstances of
loss, whether it be the death of a family member, financial hardship, or
personal struggles. The audience genuinely shared their own experiences with
grief and their personal coping mechanisms. The event was attended by
approximately 20 members of the community, which made for a comfortable room
for discussion and interaction.
