The Board of Directors at NISA welcomes Asma Ahmad as their new Executive Director.
Asma Ahmad, NISA Executive DirectorAsma has served on the NISA Board for the past four years and her transition into the Executive Director role comes at a time when NISA plans to expand its services to the community it has served the past twenty years. She is a seasoned advocate in the non-profit world having volunteered at several 501(c)3 organizations and brings a wealth of experience, hard work and dedication to NISA.
Asma has worked in Corporate law the past decade having earned her JD Law degree from Golden Gate University where she also earned a Master’s degree in Political Science. She attended California State University, East Bay for her undergraduate degree in Business Administration.
Asma is British and grew up in London. She’s a recipient of Queen Elizabeth’s Distinguished Award for Academic Excellence, was elected Head Girl at highschool and has served as Advisor to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme in the U.K. She is fluent in French & Urdu and lives in the Bay Area with her husband and children.
